Frank is now a retired police officer and solicitor (lawyer). He currently lives in South Wales in the UK.
For the last 27 years he has been engaged in legal activism, advocating the detriment suffered by Travel Consumers. He has been heavily engaged in bringing the Consumer voice to the heart of national and trans-national governments. He has created over 80 stakeholder reports since 2005 and has presented various Consumer positions and solutions at the European Commission, European Parliament, EASA and at Westminster. He has also made representations to the Australian House of Representatives and the Federal Aviation Administration in the USA.
Since 2006, Frank has been at the heart of Consumer representation on contaminated air in aircraft cabins, working at EU level to create a pan-European & International Standard; today he continues this International Standards work in the USA.
Over many years, Frank has written and published countless articles on Travel Consumer issues and has worked extensively with radio, TV and print-media to extend Consumer information.
Frank's first book is called 'Gaspers - Clean Air for Passengers? This book brings the knowledge and complexity of aircraft cabin air quality to a wider audience; the 2nd edition will be published in early 2026.
Since 2010, Frank has been researching and investing the issues that lay at the heart of his 2nd book, A Magdalene Rose. This book was published in May 2025 and makes visible the invisible stories of 4 remarkable Irish people through the experiences of injustice and survival. As Frank was researching and writing this book, he became engaged within the politics of the Irish Magdalen issue and has made representations to members of the Oireachtas (the Irish Parliament) on how to deliver solutions to the long-standing problem of continuing injustices. In relation to his family story, he continues to investigate and seek answers to outstanding injustices.
Apart from producing blog and press release items on this website, he also writes and publishes via his Substack page, 'Frank Brehany's Points of View'. Frank is also active on social media: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X and BlueSky.
Frank enjoys travel, cinema, reading, is an occasional artist and can speak French and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
