We all like to think that the flight that we take is one of the safest and most efficient ways to move around the world. Yet, for over 70 years there is a hidden issue which affects the health and comfort of passengers and crew: contaminated cabin air quality, often referred to as “fume events” or “aerotoxic syndrome”.

Since 2006, I have been involved in the work and advocacy on aircraft cabin air quality.
